FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about our Planters

Why choose metal planter boxes over wood, fiberglass, or plastic?

Metal planters are durable, modern, low-maintenance, and long-lasting. They resist warping, cracking, and rotting, making them ideal for any climate. We’ve spent more than 15 years refining our designs to ensure longevity and beauty. Details like adjustable leveling feet and hidden reinforcements make our planters the best available.

Which metal is right for me? Do your planters rust?

We offer both aluminum and steel planters. Aluminum is strong, lightweight and can be finished with the powder coat color of your choice or treated to achieve our “weathered aluminum” finish. Aluminum will not rust like steel. Steel is strong, resilient, and will develop a natural rust patina over time. We typically do not powder coat our steel products. Can I leave them outside during winter?

Yes. They are built for year‑round outdoor use. Just ensure proper drainage to avoid water expansion in freezing conditions.

What about drainage? Do they have bottoms?

Our planters can be ordered with or without sealed bottom pans. If your planters will be placed out in the landscape, you don’t need bottoms as the water can just drain into the native soil. If you are placing your planters on a hardscape surface or deck, order them with bottom pans. The bottoms include threaded drain fittings so you can attach drain tubes if needed. Planters with bottoms also include irrigation sleeves so you can add drip lines if desired without losing any soil. Reach out to us for more detailed information.

Do you offer custom sizes or designs?

Yes. We can build planter boxes to fit specific dimensions, styles, or layouts.

How long does a custom project take?

Design and build timelines vary, but custom projects typically take 3–8 weeks depending on complexity and current work load.

Can you match custom colors?

We do not offer color matching services, but if you would like to use a color outside of our standard selection, we will use any customer-specified color for a small fee.

How long do metal planters last?

With proper care, our planters will last decades.

Do you offer delivery or installation?

Yes. We ship planters nationwide, but only offer installation within the state of Utah.
