Surface Preparation

Fire pits must be placed on a solid surface. Acceptable finished surfaces include pavers, stone, concrete, tile, decking (wood or composite), etc. If it is to be placed on soil or gravel, the area must be compacted enough to avoid irregular settling. Please note that units made from rusted steel will likely stain adjacent hardscape surfaces.

Gas Supply

Our standard fire pits are set up for natural gas. Propane versions are available upon request. Our fire pits are designed to operate with 4 oz. of natural gas pressure. 2 lbs of pressure can be accommodated with the addition of a larger regulator. The gas stub must include a shutoff valve and be located within the green “safe zone” as shown on the spec sheet for your specific fire pit model. The gas stub and shutoff valve must be 8” or less above finished grade in order to fit within the interior of the fire pit.

Electricity (Optional)

If your fire pit includes an electronic ignition or built-in accent lighting, an electrical outlet must be installed within the green safe zone as shown on the spec sheet for your specific fire pit model. The outlet must be non-GFI and include a bubble cover. The top of the outlet must be 8” or less above finished grade.
