Which metal material is right for my project? Do they rust?

We build our products using two high-grade metals based on your desired aesthetic:

  • Powder-Coated Aluminum: Exceptionally strong yet lightweight. It can be finished in your choice of standard or custom powder coat colors, or treated for a sleek "weathered aluminum" look. Aluminum is inherently corrosion-resistant and will not rust.
  • Rusted Steel: Engineered for raw structural strength, this steel develops a gorgeous, natural rust patina over time. The amber earth-tones evolve beautifully with weather exposure. We typically do not powder coat our steel options.
Can these planters be left outside during freezing winters?

Yes. Every modern outdoor planter we manufacture is engineered for year-round exposure in harsh climates. To ensure maximum longevity in freezing conditions, always ensure proper drainage so trapped water cannot expand inside the container.

How does the drainage system work, and do they have bottoms?

To accommodate different environments, our containers can be configured with or without sealed bottoms:

  • Without Bottoms: Best for placement directly onto native soil or lawn areas, allowing roots and water to transition naturally into the ground.
  • With Bottom Pans: Essential for decks, patios, and hardscape surfaces. These include threaded drain fittings to easily attach drainage tubes, routing excess runoff away from your walking surfaces. They also feature integrated irrigation sleeves to cleanly run drip lines without losing soil.

Yes. We can build planter boxes to fit specific dimensions, styles, or layouts.

How long does a custom project take?

Design and build timelines vary, but custom projects typically take 3–8 weeks depending on complexity and current work load.

Do you offer custom sizes and color matching?

Absolutely. We routinely build bespoke systems tailored to your exact dimensions and layouts. While we do not offer direct color matching services for aluminum powder coating, we can utilize any customer-specified color code for a nominal fee.

Do you offer delivery or installation?

Yes. We ship planters nationwide, but only offer installation within the state of Utah.
